Centre pénitentiaire d'Uerschterhaff

The Centre pénitentiaire d'Uerschterhaff is a modern correctional facility in Sanem with a distinctive hexagonal layout spread across a large property. The complex contains four Y-shaped buildings arranged to house male inmates alongside administrative offices, a training institute, visitor areas, and medical facilities.

Luxembourg's government established this facility to address serious overcrowding in the nation's existing correctional system. The project grew out of a need to expand capacity and improve conditions in older detention institutions.
