Site protohistorique de Kach Kouch

The site stands on Dhar Moudden hill at 60 meters above sea level, approximately 9 kilometers from the Mediterranean coastline in northern Morocco.

Archaeological excavations in 1992 revealed clay and branch huts supported by posts, dating from the late 8th to early 6th century BCE.

The settlement maintained agricultural and pastoral practices while engaging in trade with Phoenician merchants, as evidenced by discovered amphoras and tools.

The archaeological site extends across 5,000 square meters and is located near the road connecting Oued Laou to Talambote.

Researchers found indigenous modeled pottery with graffiti alongside Phoenician ceramics and metal artifacts made of copper, bronze, and iron.
