Vodno, Mountain peak in Karpoš Municipality, North Macedonia.
Vodno is a mountain in Karpoš Municipality that rises 1,066 meters above sea level and features forested slopes rising southwest of Skopje. Multiple hiking trails cross the terrain, offering access to different areas and viewpoints.
The mountain historically served as a natural observation point overlooking the region. In 2002, the Millennium Cross, a 66-meter-tall monument, was constructed at the summit and has since become a defining landmark.
The mountain serves as a gathering place where local people regularly come to hike and spend time outdoors together. These shared activities form an important part of how the community connects with the landscape around them.
A gondola system spanning 1,750 meters connects the middle section to the summit and operates daily. This cable car provides a convenient alternative to hiking and can be used in various weather conditions.
The mountain contains several natural water sources including streams, springs, and the Prskalo waterfall. These water sources have long been important for shepherds who rely on them while tending flocks in the area.
