St. Mary's Tower, Coastal defensive tower in Għajnsielem, Malta.
The stone fortification stands on a strategic position along the southeastern coast of Gozo, featuring thick walls and architectural elements from the 17th century.
Constructed in 1618 by architect Vittorio Cassar, the tower formed part of a defensive network established by the Knights of St John to protect Malta.
The Grade 1 heritage structure represents the military engineering capabilities of Malta during the rule of the Knights of St John.
Visitors can reach the tower through marked paths from Mġarr Harbor, with guided tours available during regular opening hours throughout the week.
The tower maintains its original communication system design, which allowed guards to relay messages to other coastal watchtowers using fire signals.
