St. Agatha's Tower, Coastal watchtower in Mellieħa, Malta.

The square structure features four corner turrets and red-painted walls reaching four meters in thickness, offering views across Mellieħa Bay and neighboring islands.

The Order of Saint John constructed this defensive tower between 1647 and 1649 under the direction of architect Antonio Garsin to monitor enemy fleets.

The tower received its name from a small chapel dedicated to Saint Agatha located within its vaulted rooms, reflecting local religious traditions.

Din l-Art Ħelwa maintains the tower, which remains open to visitors and contains educational displays about Malta's military architecture.

The structure includes an underground water cistern capable of storing 42 cubic meters of rainwater, collected through a sophisticated roof drainage system.
