Auberge d'Aragon, 16th-century knights' residence in Birgu, Malta
The limestone building rises two stories high and features a central doorway flanked by two balconies on its primary facade.
The Auberge d'Aragon served as accommodation for knights from Aragon, Navarre, and Catalonia until they relocated to a larger building in Valletta after 1571.
The structure represents the presence of Spanish regional influences within the Order of Saint John through its architectural elements and functional design.
Located next to the Auberge de France, the privately owned building maintains its historical character despite modern modifications to parts of the facade.
The building received Grade 1 national monument status in 2009, cementing its position as a crucial element of Malta's architectural heritage.
