Inquisitor's Palace, Palace museum in Birgu, Malta.

The Inquisitor's Palace presents three floors with official halls, private quarters, and spaces dedicated to the Holy Office including tribunal and prison chambers.

Built in the 1530s as a civil court, the palace became the seat of the Maltese Inquisition from 1574 to 1798 under Grand Master Jean de la Cassiere.

The National Museum of Ethnography occupies the palace since 1992, displaying collections that reflect Malta's religious practices and social traditions through artifacts.

Located on Main Gate Street in Vittoriosa, the museum charges 6 euros for adult admission and offers guided tours to explore its historical chambers.

This palace stands as the only former Inquisition headquarters open to public visits worldwide, featuring an original Gothic groin vault cloister from its early construction.
