Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park

Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park is a forested area with rolling hills, heathlands, and sandy sections in central Netherlands. The landscape alternates between thick woodlands, open heath areas, and stretches of sand that create varied terrain for exploration.

The land was shaped millions of years ago during an ice age when glaciers pushed sand and gravel into elevated ridges that formed the rolling terrain. This geological foundation determined what kind of forest and plant life would later develop in the region.
