Prince Henry of the Netherlands established the Maritime Museum Rotterdam in 1874, marking the beginning of preserving Dutch maritime heritage.
The museum exhibits the Mataró model, the oldest ship model in Europe, alongside East India Company charts and pen-and-ink drawings by Willem van de Velde.
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00, the museum offers adult tickets for €17.50 and children tickets for €12.50 at Leuvehaven 1.
The Offshore Experience exhibit provides hands-on simulations of maritime industry roles, including crane operations and drilling tasks at sea.
