Casa Confetti, Student residential tower in Utrecht Science Park, Netherlands
Casa Confetti is a residential tower with a colorful multicolored facade located on Utrecht's university campus. The building houses around 290 students across 15 floors, offering both single units with private kitchens and shared accommodations for groups.
The building was designed and opened in 2008 by architect Marlies Rohmer to meet growing demand for student housing in Utrecht. It represented a new approach to student living on the university campus.
The building was designed as a place where students from different backgrounds naturally meet and interact in everyday spaces. Shared areas on each floor and the rooftop encourage informal encounters throughout the day.
The accommodation is easily accessible by public transportation and located close to lecture halls and campus facilities. Visitors can appreciate the building's exterior and explore the surrounding green spaces of the university grounds.
The rooftop spans 600 square meters and offers residents a gathering place with views across the entire campus. It has become one of the most used spaces in the building, especially during good weather.
