Het Hulsbeek

Het Hulsbeek is a recreation area and lake near Oldenzaal featuring forests, ponds, beaches, lawns, and heathland. The site includes various outdoor facilities and designated water zones for different activities throughout the year.

The area was developed on former estate grounds and transformed into a modern recreation center for the Twente region. This repurposing of historical land created a new destination for leisure and outdoor activities.

The park hosts multiple sports facilities, including the Netherlands' first skate park, which continues to draw skateboarding enthusiasts from across the country. This venue has become a gathering place for both local and national skateboarding communities.

The site is easily accessible by car or bicycle with ample parking and clearly marked trails throughout the grounds. It is wise to check in advance which activities are seasonally available, as some facilities operate on varying schedules depending on the time of year.

The AvaTarZ climbing forest includes paths ranging from 2 to 12 meters high and is the region's largest climbing facility. Visitors can choose between different difficulty levels, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced climbers.
