Gorsa Bridge, Aluminium footbridge in Kåfjord valley, Norway

Gorsa Bridge is an aluminium footbridge that crosses a deep mountain chasm in northern Norway. The structure connects both sides of the Sabetjohk gorge and spans across steep canyon walls.

The crossing was completed in 2011 and provided the first permanent link across this part of the valley. The gorge it spans was previously crossed only with great difficulty.

The bridge stands in a region shaped by mining history, with traces still visible in the landscape today. The area tells a story through its natural setting of the industrial past that once drew people here.

The route to the bridge goes through hiking terrain with moderate slopes and takes several hours from the nearest parking area. Visitors should bring sturdy shoes and weather protection, as the mountain location brings changing conditions.

On selected Saturdays during summer months, brave visitors use the bridge as a jumping platform for bungee jumps over a waterfall. This seasonal activity makes the location a destination for thrill-seekers from around the world.
