Gorsa Bridge, Aluminium footbridge in Kåfjord valley, Norway
The Gorsa Bridge extends 53 meters across a 153-meter deep canyon, connecting both sides of the Sabetjohk gorge in northern Norway.
The construction and opening of this pedestrian crossing in 2011 provided the first direct passage over the deep Kåfjord valley canyon.
This structure stands near the remains of a mining operation that ceased activities in 1919, reflecting the industrial heritage of the region.
The bridge connects to an 8.4-kilometer hiking trail that starts from the Ankerlia parking area, with an elevation gain of 284 meters.
Between June and September, the bridge transforms into a bungee jumping platform on Saturdays, offering jumps above the Gorzifossen waterfall.
