The Department of Environment and Natural Resources established Cassamata Hill National Park as a protected area on August 26, 1974, safeguarding its natural resources.

A shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary stands within the park grounds, serving as a spiritual destination for local residents and visitors.

Access to the summit is available through both a winding road and concrete stairways, leading to Victoria Park with views of Mount Banti Goolong.

The park contains multiple recreational facilities including a swimming pool, hotel, amphitheater, and water reservoir within its protected landscape classification.
