Cathedral of Praise, Modern church building in Ermita, Philippines
The Cathedral of Praise is a modern church in Ermita featuring multiple floors and an auditorium seating 8000 people on Taft Avenue in Manila. The building houses a medical clinic, bookstore, prayer rooms, and a Bible college to serve its congregation.
The church was founded in 1954 by evangelist Lester Sumrall as Manila Bethel Temple. Over several decades, it grew and transformed into its present-day form as a larger and more comprehensive facility.
The church plays an active role in Philippine society through television broadcasts, radio programs, and educational outreach that reach many followers regularly. This presence shows how the congregation extends its connection beyond the physical walls of the building.
The location on Taft Avenue provides good street access for visitors, and the multi-story structure offers plenty of space for different activities and services. Facilities include a medical clinic, bookstore, and multiple prayer areas throughout the building.
The building includes a dedicated Kid's Tower designed for children and a Serenity Columbarium within its complex. The organization operates four separate campuses across Metro Manila, with this main site serving as the original headquarters.
