Grace Christian College, Protestant educational institution in Quezon City, Philippines
Grace Christian College is a Protestant school in Grace Village, Quezon City, offering classes from pre-school through college level. The campus brings together several buildings with classrooms, administrative offices, and facilities for different year levels all in one compound.
The school was founded in 1950 by Julia L. Tan with support from American Baptist missionaries who helped shape its early years. It moved to its current site in Grace Village in 1966, where it has grown steadily ever since.
The school draws heavily from Chinese-Filipino traditions, and Mandarin is taught as part of the regular curriculum alongside English. Many families in the local Chinese community have sent children here for generations, giving the place a strong sense of continuity.
The campus sits inside Grace Village, a residential area, so access points are clearly marked and easy to find from the surrounding streets. Arriving outside of regular school hours makes it easier to move around the grounds without the crowds of students.
Grace Christian College sits inside a private residential village that was developed specifically to house the community around the school, which is unusual for a city campus. The neighborhood and the school grew up together, so the two are deeply connected in ways that go beyond a typical school-community relationship.
