Las Casas Filipinas de Açúzar, Heritage resort in Bagac, Philippines.
Las Casas Filipinas de Açúzar is a waterfront resort in Bagac with 128 guest rooms and more than 60 restored historic houses spread across a large property. Each building was originally from different parts of the Philippines and was carefully relocated and reconstructed on this site.
The resort was founded in 2003 to preserve nearly 40 original colonial-era houses that were facing demolition across the Philippines. These structures were dismantled from their original locations and reassembled here to create a living archive of architectural history.
The house names like Casa Hidalgo and Casa San Miguel come from the families who originally owned these buildings. Visitors can observe the craftsmanship in wooden carvings, stone details, and tile work that reflect how people built and decorated their homes in that era.
The resort sits on the coast, where guests can enjoy accommodations, dining options, and a beach area. The grounds also have event spaces for meetings and celebrations if you are planning something for a group.
The grounds feature a replica of the Puente de España bridge and a chapel built in historic style, together creating a walkable world of the past. Visitors can move through these reconstructed spaces and experience what it felt like to inhabit historical settings.
