Casa Jaen I

Casa Jaen I is a heritage house museum in Bagac, Philippines, featuring stone flooring on the ground level and wooden floors on the upper story following traditional Bahay na Bato architectural principles. The two-story structure combines these classical materials with design features from the colonial era.

The Esquivel family built this residence in the 1900s in Jaen, Nueva Ecija, and it received the House Beautiful Award in 1917. This recognition documented the quality craftsmanship and design that made such private homes noteworthy during that period.

The large glass windows and protruding front room show architectural choices made during the American Colonial period in the Philippines. These features reflect how foreign influence shaped the design of residential buildings during that era.
