Archdiocesan Shrine of Patrocinio de Maria Santisima

The Archdiocesan Shrine of Patrocinio de Maria Santisima is a baroque parish church in Boljoon with a massive stone facade and trefoil-arched niche on the second level. Inside, an ornate gilded altar with rococo touches dominates the space, while the attached convent houses a museum displaying liturgical objects and religious items.

The church was built in 1783 under Father Ambrosio Otero's direction, replacing earlier structures destroyed by pirates in 1782. This reconstruction represented the community's effort to establish a permanent religious center after years of instability.
