Paradise Point

Paradise Point is a rock formation and beach on the Arabian Sea in Karachi, featuring sandstone cliffs that jut into the sea. The coastline offers a sandy beach with scattered stones and shallow water entry points for swimmers.

The site formed as a natural landmark shaped by sandstone erosion along the coast. A distinctive stone arch that defined the area eventually collapsed, altering the appearance of the coastal landscape.

The location served as a gathering place where people enjoyed traditional seaside activities like camel rides and social meetings with local food vendors by the shore. These simple pastimes made it a popular destination for residents and visitors from the city.

The site has been closed to public access since 2017 due to construction of a nuclear power plant nearby. Visitors cannot currently enter the area or explore the rock formations.

The rocks and stones in the water once required protective footwear for swimmers to safely enter and move around. This particular condition made bathing here notably different from typical sandy beach experiences.
