Łączka Dune, Coastal dune in Slowinski National Park, Poland.
Łączka Dune is a sand formation in Słowiński National Park on Poland's northern coast. It rises approximately 42 meters high and offers views of Łebsko Lake, the Baltic Sea, and Rowokół Hill from its peak.
The dune takes its name from a village that disappeared beneath shifting sands around three centuries ago. This transformation resulted from natural coastal processes that continuously reshaped the landscape.
The dune and surrounding area represent a protected landscape that shows how nature shapes the Polish coast, drawing visitors interested in natural preservation and land formation.
You can reach the dune via a marked trail from Łeba that spans approximately 9 kilometers and includes rest points along the way. The path is well-marked, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace.
The sand structure moves several meters each year due to wind patterns, continuously reshaping the area around it. This process creates new formations and means the landscape looks different with each visit.
