Walewice

Walewice is a village along the Bzura River featuring a national stud farm and a 19th-century palace. The grounds include landscaped gardens that connect the palace with the surrounding land.

The palace dates to the late 18th century and was home to Anastazy Colonna-Walewski, a senior official at the court of King Stanisław August Poniatowski. The estate became notable when Countess Walewska gave birth to Alexandre Walewski, her son with Napoleon Bonaparte.
