Treblinka, Village in Masovian Voivodeship, Poland.
Located 80 kilometers northeast of Warsaw, Treblinka stands near the Bug River in the Gmina Małkinia Górna district of Ostrów Mazowiecka County.
From July 1942 to October 1943, Nazi Germany operated an extermination camp near this village, resulting in the deaths of approximately 850,000 individuals.
The memorial site features 17,000 granite stones arranged to represent the layout of the former camp, commemorating the victims of the Holocaust.
Visitors can access the Treblinka Museum and exhibition center, which presents historical artifacts and documentation about the events that occurred at this location.
The August 1943 prisoner uprising at the nearby camp involved 200 individuals who managed to escape, though only a small number survived until liberation.
