The park was established around 1880 as part of the garden city concept, initially spanning 8 hectares between Klodnica River and Klodnicki Canal.
A monument dedicated to Frederic Chopin stands in the park since 1949, while the space regularly hosts summer music festivals and performances.
Located at Fredry Street 6, the park contains multiple walking paths, rest areas, and connects directly to the Municipal Palm House collection.
The park features a 250-year-old English oak tree with a 428-centimeter circumference, which holds protected natural monument status.
