The brick church features symmetrical ogival windows set between stepped buttresses, with a rectangular nave and three-sided eastern chancel.
The initial church from 1285 was destroyed in a fire in 1300, leading to construction of the current structure in the early fifteenth century.
The church belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Opole and maintains regular religious services for the local Catholic community.
Located at Rynek 1 in central Racibórz at 195 meters elevation, the church stands near the northeastern corner of the main town square.
The original design followed Dominican order regulations, excluding a tower and incorporating an aisleless nave covered with a timber ceiling.
