Tokarnia, Lesser Poland Voivodeship

Tokarnia extends across the southern slopes of Lesser Beskid mountains at an elevation of 270 meters, surrounded by green hills and agricultural fields.

The settlement dates back to 1526 when it was established by Herburt, followed by centuries under different administrative regions including Ruthenian Voivodeship and Austrian Galicia.

The village maintained a Greek Catholic parish with the Church of Saint Michael the Archangel, which served as a central point for religious gatherings until 1946.

Located 37 kilometers south of Krakow and 12 kilometers from Myslenice, Tokarnia connects to major roads providing access to regional attractions and services.

The village functions as the administrative center for Gmina Tokarnia, managing local governance for approximately 3,100 residents in the Myslenice County area.
