Raba Wyżna extends across rolling hills in southern Poland, approximately 55 kilometers south of Krakow, serving as the administrative center of its commune.

The village establishment dates to the 1550s, growing into a community of 43 farms by 1581, marking the beginning of its agricultural development.

The Saint Stanisław Bishop and Martyr Church, constructed in 1581, remains a central element of religious life for the 4,116 inhabitants.

The village maintains direct transportation connections to Nowy Targ, located 14 kilometers southeast, providing access to regional services and commerce.

The village distinguished itself as the birthplace of Stanisław Dziwisz, who later became the personal secretary to Pope John Paul II.
