Piątkowa Góra

Piątkowa Góra is a mountain summit in the Gorce range that rises to 714 meters (2,342 feet). The mountain is covered with forests and situated near the main Zakopianka road that connects the region.

The mountain has long served as a key waypoint for travelers heading toward Zakopane from surrounding areas. Religious structures in the region have marked the landscape for centuries as stopping places for pilgrims and visitors.

Local inhabitants share stories about the Źródło Pociesznej Wody spring, where a merchant escaped from bandits after witnessing a cross appearing in the mist.

The summit is accessible from the valley through hiking trails with varying difficulty levels. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear and come prepared for changing weather conditions typical of mountain terrain.

On clear days, visitors can spot several mountain ranges from the summit, including the Tatra and Babia Góra peaks. This vantage point reveals how this hill sits within the larger mountain landscape of the region.
