Bystrzyca Valley Landscape Park

The Bystrzyca Valley extends through hills, forests, and river valleys, forming a protected zone that sustains numerous plant and animal species.

The establishment of this landscape park in 1988 marked a crucial step in preserving the natural heritage of Lower Silesia for future generations.

The park contains walking paths and information boards that illustrate the relationship between local communities and the natural environment over centuries.

Visitors can access multiple entry points, parking areas, and marked trails throughout the 8,750-hectare park, which connects to both Świdnica and Wrocław.

The Mettkau reservoir within the park spans 9.2 square kilometers and functions as both a recreational zone and a water regulation system.
