Przewodów, Village in Hrubieszów County, Poland
Przewodów is a village in Hrubieszów County within Lublin Voivodeship, located about 10 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The settlement spreads across flat farmland with scattered homesteads and small patches of woodland on the horizon.
The settlement emerged in an area that changed hands among different kingdoms for centuries, including the Kingdom of Poland and Austria-Hungary. After World War I, the village returned to Polish administration and remained within post-1945 borders.
The Saint Albert Chmielowski Church stands as a central religious institution in the village, representing local Catholic traditions and community gatherings.
Access comes via country roads that pass through open fields and can sometimes become difficult in poor weather. Visitors should note that proximity to the border occasionally brings military presence in the area.
The area remains largely unchanged for generations, with traditional wooden barns and old orchards lining the village road. In November 2022, a tragic incident drew international attention to this remote location near the border.
