Pałuki is a historical region in central Poland between Greater Poland and Kuyavia, featuring rolling hills and numerous lakes that shape the landscape. The area spans several hundred square kilometers and connects multiple towns, with Żnin now serving as a main point of interest for visitors.
The region first appears in medieval documents from the 14th century as Terra Palucacensis and was then part of the Kalisz Voivodeship. Over time it developed into a distinct cultural landscape with its own character.
