Podlaskie Museum of Folk Culture

The Podlaskie Museum of Folk Culture spans multiple acres with traditional wooden buildings, agricultural equipment, and ethnographic collections from northeastern Poland.

The museum originated in 1982 as an extension of the Regional Museum in Bialystok, evolving from its Ethnography Department established in 1962.

Exhibits include reconstructed rural settlements, terraced houses, and forest complexes that represent the architectural heritage of Bialystok, Lomza, and Suwalki regions.

Located at 7 Lesna Street in Wasilkow near Bialystok, the museum offers guided tours, educational programs, and seasonal demonstrations of traditional crafts.

The museum changed its name from Bialostockie Muzeum Wsi in 2016 to reflect its broader focus on regional folk culture beyond village exhibits.
