Podlaskie Museum of Folk Culture

The Podlaskie Museum of Folk Culture is an open-air site with traditional wooden buildings brought together from different villages. The collection includes old tools, household items, and crafts from northeastern Poland.

The institution was founded in 1982 as a branch of a museum in Bialystok that had already housed an ethnography section since 1962. The project grew from a desire to preserve the old way of life in the region.
