Helenka, Residential district in Zabrze, Poland
Helenka is a residential district in the northern part of Zabrze that combines apartment buildings with shopping facilities and public services. The area sits between Bytom's Stolarzowice district on one side and Zbrosławice municipality on the other.
The area originated from the Helenenhof estate established in 1929 before becoming part of Zabrze in 1954. This transition transformed it from a private holding into a municipal residential zone.
The Salesian School Complex and public library serve as educational centers for the district's population of over 10,000 residents.
Residents and visitors can find everyday shopping at several supermarkets spread throughout the district. A public library and a school complex are situated within the neighborhood for local use.
