Skalniak

Spiegelberg is a 915 meter summit located within the Table Mountains landscape of Lower Silesia, surrounded by dense forests and distinctive rocky formations. The peak features exposed sandstone cliffs and transitions between forested slopes and open rock outcrops.

The summit received its German name during the 18th century when Lower Silesia was part of Prussia. This naming reflects the historical administrative influence over the region during that period.

Local mountaineering groups organize regular expeditions to Skalniak, maintaining traditional hiking routes through the mountain paths.

Marked hiking trails approach the summit from several directions, with the yellow trail from Radków providing the most direct route. Plan your visit during dry weather, as the rocky sections become slippery when wet.

The summit plateau preserves ancient sandstone formations dating back over 100 million years to the Cretaceous period. These geological layers tell the story of when the region was once covered by seas.
