Wodospady Pośny, Cascading waterfall in Góry Stołowe National Park, Poland.
Wodospady Pośny is a waterfall system in Góry Stołowe National Park formed by the Pośna stream as it drops over multiple stone ledges, creating a series of small falls at roughly 550 meters elevation. The rocks around the cascades show clear layering and are covered with moss and vegetation.
The site was developed in the 1920s with the addition of dams, bridges, and viewing platforms designed to give tourists easier access to the falls. These early improvements show that the region was already recognized as an attractive destination.
Local residents built a donation box within the rock to help fund maintenance of visitor facilities around the waterfall system. Travelers often notice this small stone niche as a sign of how much the community values this place.
Visitors reach the waterfalls by following marked hiking trails, with the green route from parking lot 387 connecting to yellow and blue marked paths. Wear sturdy shoes since the rocks can be slippery, especially when wet.
The amount of water flowing over the falls changes dramatically depending on recent rainfall, since upstream water extraction is used for drinking water supply. This means the place looks quite different depending on when you visit.
