Żar, Mountain summit in Little Beskids, Poland
The Żar Mountain rises 761 meters above sea level, featuring a cable car system that transports visitors to its summit throughout the year.
The construction of the pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant on Żar Mountain was completed in 1979, adding significant energy capacity to the region.
The mountain serves as a center for outdoor recreation, where locals gather for hiking, mountain biking, and winter sports activities.
Visitors can access three different downhill runs at the upper station, including the Easy Line spanning 3.8 kilometers and the Air Line extending 2.3 kilometers.
The mountain houses a 500-megawatt hydroelectric facility with a reservoir containing 2.3 million cubic meters of water at 750 meters elevation.
