Church of Our Lady of the Scapular in Studzieniczna

The Church of Our Lady of the Scapular stands on an island in Studzieniczna Lake and is built entirely from wood with a distinctive tower. The tower is topped by a cross crafted by a local blacksmith.

This church was built in 1847 to replace an earlier wooden structure from 1786 that arose from increased devotion to Our Lady of Czestochowa. The new building shows how strong religious interest remained in this area.

The interior displays folk art decorations made from natural materials such as wood and deer antlers, reflecting regional artistic traditions. These handcrafted details create a strong connection between the space and local craftsmanship practices.
