Kładka w Sromowcach Niżnych

The wooden suspension bridge stretches 90 meters across the Dunajec River, supported by a 27-meter steel pylon at the border of two countries.

The local community's efforts to build a crossing began in May 1914, but both World Wars delayed construction until its completion in August 2006.

This crossing point strengthens connections between Polish and Slovak communities, enabling residents and visitors to explore both sides of the Pieniny region.

The 2.5-meter-wide bridge accommodates pedestrians and cyclists, providing direct access between the two villages without the need for border control.

The bridge structure incorporates specialized materials, establishing it as one of the longest suspended wooden pedestrian bridges in the world.
