Narożnik

Eckstein is a summit in the Sudetes that rises to approximately 1,000 meters with exposed rock formations along its ridges. Dense forests cover the slopes and create a varied landscape between rocky sections and coniferous trees.

The dual names Narożnik and Eckstein reflect the summit's historical position along former Polish-German territorial boundaries from earlier centuries. This dual naming shows how political borders in the mountains became embedded in geographical designations.

Local hiking groups maintain traditional routes to the summit and mark them according to Polish tourism standards. These paths are regularly used by residents and connect several mountain communities together.

The summit is accessible via marked trails with parking areas nearby, and the main route takes approximately two hours of hiking. The paths are well-signed and suited for hikers with moderate fitness levels.

The summit's location generates distinctive wind patterns that whistle through the rock formations during strong gusts, creating an unusual auditory experience. This phenomenon becomes noticeably louder during stormy weather and is a memorable feature of visits to the peak.
