The Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography is located at Plac Wolności and displays finds from prehistoric times through the Middle Ages from the region. The exhibition halls present objects from different periods in a clear arrangement.
The museum was founded in 1918 as a municipal institution and went through several transformations. Its refocus as an archaeology and ethnography museum took place in 1956.
