Muzeum Kościuszkowskie w Krakowie

The Kościuszko Museum occupies Bastion V of Fort No. 2 at Kosciuszko Mound and displays interactive exhibits with multimedia content about the military leader's achievements. The space features personal objects and documents from different stages of his life and military campaigns.

The museum documents Tadeusz Kościuszko, born in 1746, who became a military leader in the American Revolution and the Polish-Russian War. His story concludes with his death in 1817 and traces his journey from Polish roots through America and back to Europe.

The exhibition displays objects connected to Kościuszko, including doors from Miłocice Manor and a medallion featuring the Black Madonna of Częstochowa. These items tell the story of his life and his ties to different parts of Europe.

The museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM and is located on Kosciuszko Mound, accessible by public transportation. Wear comfortable shoes, as the mound itself involves climbing stairs.

The museum features interactive memory capsules that guide visitors through different stages of Kościuszko's life, from his home in Belarus to his military service in Philadelphia. This innovative approach brings his life alive from multiple continental perspectives.
