Kuźniczki Park in Gdańsk, Public park in Wrzeszcz district, Gdańsk, Poland
Kuźniczki Park is a neighborhood green space in Wrzeszcz with wooden gazebos, a playground, and small recreational areas for residents. The nearby Strzyża stream runs through the vicinity and frames the site within surrounding residential buildings.
The park came into being around 1800 when Michael Gottfried Schmidt purchased the land and built a manor house with cultivated gardens. Later in the 1800s, portions of the property were sold for railway construction, which changed the site's current size and shape.
The name recalls the blacksmiths who once worked in this area and shaped the neighborhood's character. Visitors today can sense this connection to local craftsmanship in how the space is organized and used.
The park offers designated grilling and bonfire areas where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities any time of year. Proximity to tram and bus stops makes it easy and convenient to visit.
The site once held a deer enclosure, sculptures by Daniel Eggert, and an amphitheater before these features disappeared. Few visitors or newer residents remember these lost elements from the property's more elaborate past.
