Polish Pilots Park in Kraków

Polish Pilots Park is a 60-hectare green space in Kraków with varied zones, ranging from open meadows in the south to dense forests in the north. The grounds contain sports fields, cycling paths, running tracks, and a modern playground for children.

The site once held Fort XV Pszorna, built between 1864 and 1869 to protect important communication routes. The fortress was demolished in 1951, and the park was later created on this land.

A monument to Polish pilots who died in World War II stands at the center of the park, honoring these fallen aviators. Visitors use this space to connect with an important chapter of aviation history.

The park has multiple entry points throughout the Czyżyny district and offers plenty of space for various activities in most weather conditions. Visitors should know the grounds are expansive, so sturdy footwear is recommended for exploring.

The Stanisław Lem Garden of Experiences within the park holds interactive outdoor installations that show scientific principles through hands-on experiments. This learning area lets visitors engage playfully with natural laws and physics.
