Park Mikołaja Kopernika we Wrocławiu

Zwingerpark is a public park in the city center that runs along the inside edge of the old moat and features curved paths lined with mature trees. The space contains open lawns and several resting areas, as well as a playground with rubber-surfaced ground for children.

The park was originally created in the 19th century as a green space along the moat and underwent complete restoration between 2009 and 2010. This renovation recovered the original design elements from its founding period and adapted them to modern needs.

The park serves as a gathering place where neighbors meet and spend their leisure time, particularly because of the open lawns and pathways that encourage people to linger. The wide grassy areas and shading trees create a space that residents naturally use for everyday relaxation.

The park is best visited in good weather and remains open during daylight hours from April through October. Access is free and the wide pathways are easy to walk, especially if you take time to explore the different sections at your own pace.

The playground area has an unusual rule: high-heeled shoes are not permitted because they can damage the specialized rubber surface. This distinctive requirement protects the resilient flooring from punctures and cracks.
