The 67-hectare Park Zielona contains numerous deciduous trees, including oak and birch species, providing habitat for finches, nuthatches, and song thrushes.
The park emerged in 1932 following the construction of a road to Łagisza, connecting this green space to the city center of Dąbrowa Górnicza.
Local residents participated in community service activities after World War II to restore the park to its former condition and appearance.
The 2018 renovation brought granite pavements, educational paths, new lighting systems, and benches while preserving the original 1930s layout.
Between the 1960s and 2011, the park housed a municipal zoo featuring brown bears, deer, foxes, and various bird species.
