Palace in Konarzewo, Baroque palace in Konarzewo, Poland
The Palace in Konarzewo is a Baroque residential estate from the late 17th century with a structured north-facing facade. The main entrance is crowned by the Radomicki family coat of arms, displaying the architectural characteristics typical of that era.
Andrzej Aleksander Radomicki, Castellan of Gniezno, commissioned the construction of this estate in the late 17th century. The building was inhabited by his family and served as a regional residence for generations afterward.
The coat of arms displayed above the entrance tells the story of the family that built and owned this residence. Visitors can still sense the connection to local nobility through the architectural choices and remaining decorative elements.
The building is accessible to visitors but remains in ongoing restoration and requires appropriate care when exploring the grounds. Expect uneven surfaces and check ahead as restoration work may occasionally limit access to certain areas.
A fire in July 2023 damaged the roof and several interior painted decorations, accelerating ongoing restoration efforts. The event prompted heightened focus on preserving the building's remaining original features for the future.
