Port of Krynica Morska, Coastal port in Krynica Morska, Poland.
The Port of Krynica Morska is a working port on the Vistula Spit in northern Poland, used by fishing vessels, passenger ferries, and leisure boats alike. It sits along the shore of the Vistula Lagoon and has moorings, a fuel station, and boat repair services on site.
The port grew from a small fishing hub serving communities along the Vistula Lagoon over many generations. Over time it expanded to take in passenger ferries and leisure traffic as the town developed into a seaside resort.
Fishermen shape daily life at the port and sell their fresh catch directly to visitors and local restaurants. Their work with nets and traditional methods remains visible and defines the rhythm of activity on the water.
The port is easy to reach on foot from the town center and the quays are open to visitors. Early morning and early afternoon tend to be the busiest times on the water, when fishing boats return and ferries depart.
From this port, boats can reach both the open Baltic Sea and the shallow Vistula Lagoon, two bodies of water that feel completely different from one another. This double access makes it a starting point for two very different kinds of trip on the water.
