Palace in Zagórzany, Gothic Revival palace in Zagórzany, Poland

The Palace in Zagórzany is a structure built in Gothic Revival style with multiple towers and turrets, showcasing architectural details from the 19th century. The estate contains a large park filled with mature trees bounded by the Moszczanka stream and includes several historical outbuildings such as a gate house.

The structure was built between 1835 and 1839 by architect Franciszek Maria Lanci for Count Tadeusz Skrzyński. It underwent architectural modifications in 1900 and 1928 that altered and updated its appearance.

The palace once served as a school for noble daughters, where the noted poet and geographer Wincenty Pol shared his knowledge with students. This educational role shaped the building's reputation as an important intellectual gathering place in the region during the 19th century.

The park is accessible with pathways for walking through the wooded areas and along the stream. A daytime visit during dry weather is recommended to fully appreciate the grounds and exterior of the estate.

Within the park grounds stands a mausoleum honoring A. Skrzyński, a statesman who served as Poland's Foreign Minister and Prime Minister. This memorial reflects the political prominence of the family who occupied the estate.
