Stacja Narciarska Dwie Doliny Muszyna-Wierchomla, Ski resort in Wierchomla Mała, Poland
Stacja Narciarska Dwie Doliny Muszyna-Wierchomla is a ski resort in the Beskid Mountains of southern Poland, set on the northwest slopes of Pustej Wielkiej mountain. The resort has a network of runs of different difficulty levels, served by a mix of drag lifts and chairlifts spread across both valleys.
The resort first opened in 1997 with basic drag lifts on the Wierchomla side. The installation of the first chairlift in 2000 marked a turning point that led to the gradual connection of both valleys into a single ski area.
The name "Dwie Doliny" means "Two Valleys" in Polish, referring to the two valleys connecting the towns of Wierchomla and Muszyna-Szczawnik through a shared lift network. Skiers from both sides meet on the same slopes, giving the place a social, cross-community feel.
The resort is easy to reach from the valley towns below and has runs suited to beginners as well as more experienced skiers. Weekends and school holidays tend to draw more visitors, so arriving early in the morning gives you a calmer start to the day.
Because of the elevation, temperatures on the slopes run about 4 degrees colder than in the valleys below, which pushes the snow season from November well into April. This makes the resort one of the longer-season options among ski areas in this part of the Beskids.
