The wooden structure features larch wood frames, shingle coverings, galleries, porches, dormers, and towers, following Swiss architectural patterns from 1884.
Construction of the villa commenced in 1875 under Józef Szalay's direction and concluded in 1884, guided by Krakow architect Maciej Moraczewski's design specifications.
The villa's ballroom accommodated 500 people and hosted performances by renowned artists including Helena Modrzejewska, Ludwik Solski, and meetings with writers like Henryk Sienkiewicz.
The modern facility includes multimedia systems, lighting equipment, and sound installations, making it suitable for conferences, cultural events, and private celebrations.
Following a destructive fire in 1962, the building underwent complete reconstruction from 2008 to 2011, restoring its original 19th-century appearance through historical photographs.
