Palace in Jeziory, Nature museum in Jeziory, Poland
The Palace in Jeziory is a museum building within the headquarters of Wielkopolski National Park, housing four exhibition rooms with specimens from the local natural world. The rooms display rock samples, bird collections, and insect exhibits alongside educational materials about protected areas in the region.
The original natural history museum operated in Puszczykowo starting in 1952, but relocated following structural damage to that building in the 1990s. The collection was transferred in 1998 to this location in Jeziory, where it has remained as part of the national park operations.
The park headquarters building reflects how this region values nature education and outdoor learning for visitors of all ages. Families and school groups regularly use the trails and facilities here as part of their connection to the protected landscape.
Visitors can explore four marked trails that run through the park grounds, each offering different ways to see the natural area. The Forest School based here conducts educational programs throughout the year, so checking opening times beforehand helps you plan your visit.
One exhibition room focuses entirely on a large collection of bird eggs in various sizes and colors found in the region. Alongside these are historical and modern nesting boxes displayed to show how the park creates breeding habitats for birds across different time periods.
